Our Story

The bitter chill of the French Pyrenees left my skin cracked and raw.

During a snowboarding season in a remote mountain village, I was out of options. With nothing else available, I turned to what the local butcher had—a handful of beef fat. Desperate for relief, I rendered it down in a small pot over the stove until it transformed into a golden, silky balm.

I applied it to my skin, and the relief was instant. The tightness eased, the dryness softened, and by the next day, my skin felt better than it had in weeks.

It seemed almost too simple, but it worked. That small jar of tallow, made out of necessity, planted the seed of something much bigger.

Who we are

We’re a couple from Sweden and Germany with Balkan roots, now calling a small quinta in Portugal our home. Our shared love for adventurous sports like surfing and snowboarding brought us closer to the wild beauty of nature, but it also came with a price. Long days spent in salty oceans and snowy mountains took a toll on our skin, leaving it sensitive, dry and irritated.

We’ve always been mindful of what we put in and on our bodies, and most skincare products on the market were full of chemicals that often did more harm than good. That small jar of tallow from the Pyrenees changed everything, showing us that nature already had the answers—we just needed to embrace them.

Our mission

Months later, after spending our days working in software companies and countless hours in front of screens, we realized something was missing. The work was steady, but it lacked meaning and connection. We craved something deeper—a way to reconnect with nature and meaning in our everyday working lives. So, we took a leap of faith. Leaving behind the corporate world, we moved to a small farm in Portugal and followed our dream of creating natural skincare products rooted in simplicity and sustainability.

Our values

Today, we handcraft every product with care in our small production facility in Lagos, Portugal. Each jar is made with suet sourced from regenerative farms in the Iberian peninsula, where grass-fed cows roam freely. Our products reflect our belief that nature provides everything we need to care for our bodies—sometimes, it’s just about going back to basics.

At the heart of our brand are three core values: integrity, health, and sustainability. These guide everything we do, from sourcing ingredients to crafting our products and packaging.
